These wide-leg, loose-fit jeans are crafted from a robust 17 oz heavyweight Japanese selvage denim, showcasing exceptional Japanese craftsmanship. This denim, among the heaviest we've used, boasts a dynamic aging quality. The warp and weft yarns are ring-spun from premium organic cotton, emulating the coarse slub yarns of the early 20th century. The warp yarns undergo a rope-dyeing process in pure indigo, resulting in a thin, dark outer layer with an undyed core, which enhances the denim's aging potential. Woven on '50s shuttle looms, the denim features a coarse, thick texture with pronounced twill lines, evolving beautifully with wear and washing.
