This 14.2 oz red-cast selvage denim is meticulously crafted by Shinya Mills in Okayama, Japan. The warp yarns undergo an intricate 20-dip indigo dye process, resulting in a rich, deep indigo hue with a distinctive red undertone. Woven under low tension, the fabric features a wonderfully textured and uneven surface, achieving a perfect blend of rugged charm and refined quality. The story behind this denim is equally remarkable. Shinya Mills, celebrated for their denim expertise, painstakingly recreated the Dry Elite Selvage by examining and reverse-engineering a well-worn pair of 1950s jeans. This detailed approach highlights their exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to authenticity.
