This denim pays tribute to an iconic fabric first discovered on the West Coast of the USA over 120 years ago, from the gold rush era. Kurabo Mills meticulously recreated the original denim's look and feel, focusing on the unique characteristics that developed over time. They studied the original fabric's spinning techniques and the distinctive color of the weft yarns, which were unbleached and naturally coloured. By replicating the irregular texture of the ring-spun yarns and using a rich indigo dye with 12 dips, Kurabo has achieved an authentic vintage aesthetic. The result is a pair of jeans that combines historical craftsmanship with modern expertise, finished with contrasting tobacco thread for a distinctive look. These jeans are a true celebration of denim artistry!
